Jodie Comer is magnificent in this important work, laying bare the reality that for sexual assault cases the legal system is not fit for purpose. Cannot recommend highly enough.

@katypillar Where are you at? I'm north of Ballarat, and it wasn't as bad as I feared. A short burst of intense lightning and thunder, a brief heavy shower and it passed. Obviously it could be different elsewhere.
My dogs are usually pretty chill with shit weather but the intensity got to this one. (Monkey didn't give a shit, bless her.)

Update: The storm has passed and Moloko is sleeping peacefully on the couch and is no longer interested in me or my comfort.
Moloko isn't usually fussed by thunder but it is full on right now and she is a bit frightened. I feel a bit bad for thinking it is cute AF. But Still.
@katypillar For me it's helpful to reframe these questions. To me, they both sound a lot like "How do I not displease anyone?" and you've got to know that's pretty much impossible.
Personally, I highly value emotional honesty and vulnerability. A bit more of it would be most welcome on my homepage. People who don't like it can unfollow. There might be folk who do that. But there will also be folk who will be understanding and supportive. Like in real life, helps sort the wheat from the chaff!

There was another unsuccessful attempt to dig out a rat near the chook shed.
One of these dogs is aware of the impending bath.
They are both now clean and fresh and sulking on the couch.
The rats continue to live their best lives.
