Mail call. It's smaller sibling Kharkov Battles is on the way too
@theboardgameschronicle some feedback I heard (possibly the History on the Table podcast?) mentioned an issue with mega death stacks that stomp on everything. Did you come across this?
Got in two games of Desert Victory from the new C3i magazine this weekend. A fun little game, easy to grasp, although I didn't quite experience the back and forth of the real campaign, although that's a problem which is common to many North African games
I just unwrapped my copy of Musket & Pike to check out those amazing maps in there - I really love that 'linen' texture and hope that we see more maps like that from GMT
@playersaidalex I've heard some pretty dumb things in my life, but that quote has got to be near the very top
@Volko it is a nice looking map, very muted style but very elegant, which seems appropriate for a battle in those times
Setting up the Battle of Ramillies (May 1706) which appeared in S&T 256. Probably just going to read the rules, look at the setup and push a few counters around because I'm on a work trip and left my tweezers at home AND I don't travel with a sheet of plexi, which means the map is too three dimensional to play on...(I'm such a baby when it comes to playing without plexi)
@ardwulf Ah I see. It's interesting, I thought my copy of DAK2 had a '2' superimposed over the word DAK (I'm away from home so can't check), which is why I thought you had 2 copies of DAK
@armchairdragoons Quick and fun, Zulus on the Ramparts
@ardwulf No DAK 2? But I guess DAK + DAK = DAK 2!
