We already know how many white women were down to vote Trump, I’m sure even more would vote for Haley, and people who like DeSantis because they view him as Trump-lite would feel as though they weren’t being entirely alienated.

And personally I think the real power move would be if Ron DeSantis is the one to drop out with Nikki Haley maintaining the presidential run and signaling DeSantis as her VP pick

Quite frankly, the Democrats have been running on borrowed time since 2008, when the GOP realized (even if as an unintentional moment of the zeitgeist) it could begin chipping away at the DNC’s monopoly on marginalized IdPol candidates
