An athletic acquaintance of mine once chastised me for saying I walk for exercise since I'm in a wheelchair. But I think I get most of the benefits of walking, even in the power wheelchair. I move in subtle ways, I bend and stretch to get a closer look at things. I regain balance after being bucked around by pot holes. I see so much more of the world around me than those who are exercising. So here's some pics from today's walk, including a self reflection. #wheelchairlife #photography

Everytime I go for a walk I find something fascinating. These prickly pear cactus are decades old. The property owner said the used to be part of the front garden of the old Anderton's Restaurant. If you're an older Memphibian you may remember it. #photography #cactus #urbannature
Surprised by a second bloom on my neighbor's clematis vine. Autumn always has lovely surprises.
