@TodePond difficult question. Normally I would say a smaller one, to make the fediverse more decentralized. But that could maybe limit the reach.
But on mastodon.social e.g. are so many, that one cannot stand out.
Another option would be to create the acocunt on a custom instance.
I'm currently working on hosting my own instance too. uwu.social is just too professional for me.
For me it is important to be able to post long messages. I hate being limited to 500 chars. Here on uwu.social I can use up to 1000.

Technoblade has half the subs and got almost double the views on his "facereveal" than Dream on his.
Even death can't stop Technoblade from beating Dream.

Now that I know what I'm missing, I'm starting to reconsider my decision to boycott patreon, but I don't want to. :(
