Trying out different servers and it has a much bigger impact on search than I thought. There is basically no #everton or #worldcup content federated here so I think I will move to a bigger instance, though ideally I’d rather be on a smaller one.

Is there a setting that prevents #metatext from being quite so greedy with its network calls? It makes 7 calls every time I switch back to the app (to the official app’s 2) and anecdotally seems to reload a lot in the app too. Since switching to it I quite often get rate limited.

It took me three goes to get into #pentiment thanks to the slow, very linear start. Not a great after-work game, but now I have some time off it’s getting its hooks into me.

A day off! Woken up at 4am, next up: A half hour walk to nursery. I wouldn’t choose it but it’s often the highlight of my day.
