My spreadsheet of studies showing the #COVID19's long-term risks now includes 298 studies. Recent ones indicate:

- Vaccine protection against death wanes from 90% to 34% in six months.

- Even mild infections cause left and right ventricular strain months after diagnosis.

- COVID causes the risk of autoimmune disease to rise considerably: pernicious anaemia 72% higher, rheumatoid arthritis 29% higher, Graves' disease 30% higher, and multiple sclerosis 166% higher.

Good episode of the Delta Flyers clearly outlining what’s going on with the SAGA strike action. Great explanation from Michelle Hurd.

Just a reminder that the pro-Covid and anti-vaccine guys are also anti-universal health insurance, anti-sick leave and anti-child care subsidies. Basically, the compassion of a virus.
Just a reminder that Donald Trump got banned for using Twitter to attempt a violent overthrow of our government.
Don't want to wear a mask to prevent #COVID19? How about wearing a mask to prevent flu (which is at record levels in the US right now)? Or prevent RSV (which is filling children's hospitals)? Maybe we could stop acting like masks are a major sacrifice and start being smarter?

Masks can provide protection against other respiratory viruses, not just Covid-19, but few want to revisit the practice

Updated COVID boosters give significant protection, data show

With coronavirus cases and hospitalizations rising in Los Angeles County, officials are voicing new confidence in the effectiveness of the updated COVID-19 booster shot.

#COVID19 is not just a mild, acute disease. It find ways to harm the body, even after the acute phase is done. I wish people would note the many studies that show how dangerous repeat infections can be. I fear millions will pay a price for this in the years ahead. #WearAMask

None of Donald Trump's 2024 GOP rivals has had the courage to condemn his antisemitism.

Let's be clear. One sign your party has embraced full on fascism is when denouncing Nazis is more dangerous politically than dining with Nazis.

Media needs to treat the GOP accordingly.

In fact, the CDC says 74% of the US is at high/substantial level of transmission (https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view?list_select_state=all_states&list_select_county=all_counties&data-type=) and COVID in wastewater has been trending up for three months (https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#wastewater-surveillance). In other words, nothing suggests we're safer from #COVID19 now than last year. 13/

@aetiology "Treating Covid like the flu — or the flu like Covid — has effectively meant that we treat neither illness as if it were a serious threat to health systems and to public health."
Such a true statement. We are minimizing disease in favor of convenience.
