What happened over the last 50 years that resulted in people being more isolated than ever before?
@jfslicer One of the challenges being that the parishioner will not actively seek help, or contact. The shepherd must insert themselves into this person's life...?
@jfslicer James I would be interested in your ideas about this topic: How should a church engage with members that have not 'shown up' to church, and with the church's perspective being that of a 'shepherd of a flock' that acknowledges that mental health may have something to do with attendance? (For ex. the parishioner suffering from clinical depression and not wanting to socialize) How do we best minister to these folks?

Steven BeschlossWe can’t minimize Trump’s dinner with antisemite and holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and the refusal of leading Republicans to speak out against this. While none of this is surprising, it’s the latest sign that if Trump is not held criminally accountable and ends up as the GOP candidate, he will drive America to the bottom and seek vengeance against all enemies, real and imagined. Silence is complicity.
