Meta Hackers Simply Asked Meta AI to Give Them Access to High-Profile Instagram. It Worked.

Now is a good time to remember that Meta has announced that it is laying off 10% of its workforce, including 2,000 people just today, while going in on a "AI will replace workers" strategy.

The exploit shows the extreme risk of offloading technical support to AI.

How it feels working from home with 2 dogs who consider the apartment to be their sacred duty to defend:
...Okay you bastards, I'm re-subbing.
This quote from Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell has been in my head the last few days
In case anyone is still on the fence as to why DLSS 5 is bad news on both a technical and aesthetic angle: https://remapradio.com/articles/dlss-5-is-an-aesthetic-abomination-its-also-a-technical-failure/?ref=remap-newsletter

On two separate occasions over the last 2 days, I've played well enough in SF6 that two people that I respect as peers, completely independently from each other and on completely different Discord servers, asked for help on how to fight my Chun. I still see myself as trash, which I'm working on, but this kind of evidence is the kind of thing my brain latches on to keep me from spiraling when I have a bad run.
A pretty decently sized haul (for me) this time around for Bandcamp Friday.

Still deciding between my FiiO JM21 and my modded iPod Classic.

On the one hand, everything wonderful about a modern device and Android (ie. USB-C, Last.fm support, capacity for FLAC library, Bluetooth LDAC, better DAC etc)

On the other, I don't have to deal with a goddamn touch screen.

Unfortunately, I've had to switch back to my FiiO JM21 today for my music needs. The poor iPod decided that it no longer wanted to process its database correctly on startup anymore. I'll probably have to re-partition and reinstall since it won't even boot now :(
