Wondering what difference -- in practice -- your server makes on mastodon? I read an article saying "if in doubt join mastodon.social" so I did. But would it make more sense to be on a different server based on locality (mastodon.ie) or interest (mastodon.green)?

Will I notice any difference at all? I guess I'll get a different feed when I click "Local" which could be useful. How hard is it to switch servers, I wonder?
