Ezra Klein on generative AI and targeted ads: "I don’t think you should be able to make money, just flatly, by using an A.I. system to manipulate behavior to get people to buy things. I think that should be illegal. I don’t think you should be able to feed into it surveillance capitalism data, get it to know people better and then try to influence their behavior for profit.
