Looks like #threads is here, and intends to join the fediverse at some point. Sounder at Heart, SoundersFC, and Jeremiah Oshan are already over there. Given this info, I’m probably going to shut this down since Nitter is still broken and a permanent fix is likely to consume more time and effort than I have to give to this project right now. It was fun while it lasted y’all.

Quick update.
Tootbot depends on a service called Nitter (my own privately hosted version) which mirrors Twitter in an RSS friendly manner. However it it appears that due to changes on Twitter’s end, specifically requiring users to be logged in to view tweets, that this has broken Nitter across the internet.

Unfortunately, this means I have to find a different way to grab tweets and re-post them to Mastodon.

My understanding is that the Sounders would likely be able to retain RBW or Vargas for the remainder of the season even in the case of a sale. In fact, previous deals for similar players give a bonus to the selling team for each additional first-team game they play.
