I’m almost halfway done with a project for 2025….
- if you want to do something more ambitious than your last project consider ways to increase quality or impact without increasing work. Nicer materials or a two year project so you can spend more time on it.
- Once a crafter, Always a crafter. If you took a year off or you didn’t submit in time or you didn’t finish in time you’re still a crafter!

- I always struggled to determine how many hours a project took because I get distracted and then I think I don’t know how much time I spent actually knitting. You know what? I was working all that time. If it took me longer because I have ADHD? Good for me! Doing something when it takes twice as long due to a disability??? That’s a lot of work, so I estimate and give myself full credit for the time I put in.

My advice for anyone with ADHD who wants to take part in the #desertbus #Craftalong is
- go ahead and choose something ambitious if that’s what motivates you! All my best crafts have incorporated techniques I hadn’t attempted yet
- start early and assess where you are when submissions open! I only submit a proposal if I’m halfway through the project when submissions open. I don’t scrap the project, I submit the following year
