I wanted to finish this last week but I caught a cold and I’m only now able to concentrate again. I really need to get a consistent work flow for rendering and color because I’m always so intimidated by it and I take forever lol.

I was mostly practicing the back of the legs from an anatomy book and then tried this pose which was supposed to be skewed upwards but I didn’t get the perspective right for that. I’ll keep trying and hope I can get foreshortening down at some point in the future lol. Still looks better than a lot of my stuff drawn from imagination so I’ll call it a success. 😄 Anyway, here’s a sexy baseball player for you all.

I did a few Mentaiko studies so I decided to try doing a couple of portraits in his style. Chris Hemsworth’s Thor turned out pretty good but my stylized self portrait ended up with a similar but different in style. I still like it so I might work up or redraw to make a new pfp since it’s a bit more accurate now that I lost a bunch of weight. Although I don’t really look that smug, it’s just how my hooded eyes and bitchy eyebrows turned out with this simplification lol.

I tried a yet another workflow and this one went faster, although it might just be because I hesitated less with the color. Anyway, I like how it turned out. Instead of obsessing over structure, I let myself roll with small mistakes which let this come out less stiff. I can see where I’m progressing 😌
