(Jan 23) Sonic Robo Blast 2

My favorite Sonic fangame. Developed with the Doom engine I still play this game from time to time. The controls are kinda hard to get used to at first if you are playing Sonic, but once you do it feels pretty great.

There's also a bunch of cool mods.

(Jan 22) Awesomenauts

One of the few dota-like/MOBAs that isn't Dota that I actually liked. 2D platforming MOBA, unique concept.

OST is also very catchy and the art style is very nice.

It suffered from a failed p2p pay model then went f2p. I wonder how is it doing nowadays.

(Jan 21) Skullgirls

One of my favorite fighting games. Long and fun combos. The animations are cool. The music is nice. The characters are very unique between each other. The fact that you can either play tag team or solo is really cool.

My personal favorite is Parasoul!

(Jan 20) Risk of Rain

I love 2D platform games. So naturally I love this 2D platform rogue like game.

Good soundtrack, fun items and I like how the gameplay encourages to rush the levels once you are used to the game. The different character options feel nice overall too.

(Jan 19) Smash Bros Melee

The series has been a favorite of mine since forever. I remember this (along with whatever was new at the moment) being the goto game on parties.

Later on I discovered how this one in particular is full of interesting stuff and a passionate community

(Jan 18) Plants Vs Zombies

This used to be my go to game on my iPod when I was at school. I remember beating it for the first time during chemistry :).

Haven't really played it recently nor any of its recent iterations but I still hold it dear. I remember the gameplay was fun.

I'm not really a mobile games fan but some of those old ones from the "touch" era, right before the mobile industry went to shit, were pretty good. I know PvZ is technically PC because this version is a port but still!
