Random Sighted Person in Society: “Oh, so you’re blind, I’m so sorry to hear that.”

Me: “Oh, and you’re an Ableist Ass? I’m so sorry to hear that.”

I just read that the Toilet Rat Donald Trump announced along with Tonsillitis Boy Robert F. Kennedy JR today that it’s their belief that Tylenol given to pregnant mothers could be the cause of Autism in kids. Wonderful! So about 60 or 70 years ago it was Refrigerator Mothers that supposedly caused Autism in kids, now it’s Tylenol Mothers causing it.

Trump’s cure for Autism you ask? A drug called Leucovorin, which is a drug used to help ease the side effects of certain Chemotherapy drugs. I’m not even going to try and figure out how that makes any fucking sense! This is some fucking sick shit, and not only will this continue the Ableism against the Autistic Community, but you’re not going to convince me that this won’t have other Ableist implications against other disabled groups such as people like me who are Blind, or others like people who have Cerebral Palsy. What this is really about is not making America healthy again, but about bringing back Eugenics. That’s all this is about! This trash shouldn’t have a place in our society for one second!

Back to Liberation, not Equality

When I was in my late teens and into my early 20s, I was what I call “The Default Liberal”. By that, I mean that I was pro-abortion rights, pro-LGBT rights

and basically anything that was labeled as progressive. Mainly though I stuck to speaking out for women to have the right to abortion, as well as for myself

and my fellow LGBT people to have equal rights whether they be employment or marriage rights. I stood by these positions until I was around 25.

When I was 25, I discovered the book Death of the Liberal Class by the author Chris Hedges. I read it, and it was one of those books that one has to read

a few times to understand what Hedges is talking about. In the book, Chris Hedges talks about how basically Leftism and Liberalism aren’t really the same

thing at this point. He talks about how back in the 30s and 40s what it meant to be liberal was to fight for the working class, as well as to stand up

aggressively against the powers that be. He also goes on to say that now from the 1970s and up to the present day, to be a liberal is to talk about changing

things, but doing little to stand up against the powerful.

It was on my second and third readings of Hedges’s book that I was starting to see what he was talking about. I would always hear about how we as LGBT

people, or other oppressed minorities should always try to not be angry and not speak out aggressively against those who disagree with us, and that if

we did then we were no better than them. Other advocacy work liberals did soon involved, advocating for LGBT people and other minorities to be allowed to

work in places like the military which would include the CIA, one of the most criminal organizations and a huge generator of murder and terror towards

other countries as well as towards various U.S. citizens throughout history. MK Ultra anyone?

Also in Liberal circles, there’s the Bullshit of Person First Language. This includes top-40 hits such as Person Who’s Blind, not a Blind Person, Person

With a Disability, not a Disabled person and finally a Person With Autism not an Autistic Person.

This illustrates in Hedges’s book the issue of how in Liberal circles made up of mainly well-off white people most of whom don’t have any of the attributes

of the above listed minority groups, the objective whether intended or not is to speak for us rather than allowing us to have our own voices as minorities.

Liberals who also might call themselves Leftists do and have done little over the last several decades to challenge the power systems, mainly because they

originate from them in some way or another. They tell us that if we’re all nice to the white, straight bigot, and if we don’t speak to them aggressively

as well as if we try to engage them in conversations over and over again that somehow all will work out for the best. Liberals talk about how horrible

war is, yet supported Obama who was under international law a war criminal just like George W. Bush before him.

Liberals also speak of having tolerance for intolerance, and urge us all to allow speech from absolutely everyone no matter the danger level connected

to what’s actually being said. For all of the talk of Liberals about standing up for the rights of the minority groups thus listed, they do almost nothing

to challenge the power systems that have been responsible for the destruction and oppression visited on these people. Regarding Blacks, liberals talk about

how after Martin Luther King JR’s advocacy work, Whites and Blacks can now have equal opportunities in work, entertainment and other areas of life. They

portray King as a soft-spoken and kindly man who only wanted nothing more than the White children and the Black children to play together side-by-side.

This isn’t true. Even reading a couple of sentences from King’s Letter from a Birmingham Jail destroys this white-washed fiction.

In King’s letter, he calls out the White Moderate Liberal. He calls them out for pushing Blacks to not get angry, and tells them to be kind and to just

wait. One day their day of getting what they want will come. His letter is worth reading, for it provides a window into the mind of a Liberal across the

board be they white, black or moderate. In what I just wrote, there’s nothing that matches what Liberals believe about King. The letter he wrote alone

shows this. King at one point in one of his speeches even called the United States the greatest purveyor of violence in the world. Does that sound like

a man who only wanted nothing more than for White kids and Black kids to play together without Racism, Segregation or Discrimination?

Regarding LGBT people, I even give a short-hand for the difference between Conservatives and Liberals that goes like this. When coming out to your Conservative parents, at

best you’re told they don’t agree with you, and at worst they beat the shit out of you while telling you that you’re going to Hell. For the Liberal it’s

something along the lines of: “That’s wonderful that you told us you’re insert LGBT label here, and we fully support you. We only ask that you be careful

who you tell, because you don’t want to end up like Mathew Shepard, and also you might not want to tell Aunt Joanne and Uncle Phil. They might not be accepting,

and you wouldn’t want to offend their beliefs.”

In short, Conservatives and Liberals both enable the power systems that oppress us. Liberals may at times call themselves Leftists because of their belief

in standing against Conservatives, but because they won’t call these problems out for what they are as well as they constantly being worried about if they’re

being offensive or not, then they say good-sounding words and nothing more. Liberals for all their talk about how they want Blacks to not be oppressed

do nothing to fight horrors like the Prison Industrial Complex that is the new version of slavery here within the United States. Liberals push the idea

that if us minorities no matter who we are just integrate within the system, speak nicely to our oppressors and assimilate enough then somehow all will

work out for the best. In short, Liberals push for equality not liberation.

Around the time before and after the Stone Wall Riots in June of 1969 in which LGBT customers at the titular bar fought against the police who were trying

to arrest and take them to jail, liberation was the goal of what would be considered the LGBT Movement of that time. They had no interest in becoming like

straight people. To say nothing of the fact that it would have been dangerous to their lives for them to be out to straight people back then, they wanted

to be free to be themselves, not LGBT versions of the kind of people who were responsible for their oppression. They didn’t want to fight for the rights of LGBT police

officers and similar agents of state violence. Liberals who are so-called Pro-LGBT Rights if seeing these people especially those fighting the police at

Stone Wall would be uncomfortable, and would be calling for these people to speak kindly to the officers as well as reminding them that with them acting

violent, then they’re being no different than the people they oppose.

That last part of the message of the mostly White Liberal is what I want to speak on for a moment. The part about how if we fight aggressively against

our oppressor rather than being kind then we’re no different than them. This is a dangerous, hateful and tone-deaf platitude that in the end enables the

system. If we’re talking nicely to the oppressor and not being angry, then the most that the oppressor will do is laugh at us, mock our attempts at being

kind then do what they were going to do anyway. Also while we’re debating the Liberal about whether or not to fight or be kind, then the system is still

doing what it has been doing. This in the end plays into the hands of those in power be they Conservative or Liberal. Finally though, telling us we’re

no better than the oppressors the minute we use one angry word or aggressive tone of voice is cruel, for it ultimately blames us for our own oppression

while the Liberal, smug, self-congratulatory and assured in their own moral superiority can go about the rest of their day satisfied that they’ve done their

good deed for the day. They can be happy that they helped the sad pitiful oppressed LGBT person, Black person or Disabled person, and they can do this

completely devoid of the thought that the system is still in place and continues to grind us under its boot.

Also, if we take this idea of being no different or better than the people who abuse us to its even darker conclusion, then let’s look at another way in

which this can be used. A child strikes out at another kid or at an adult who sexually, physically or emotionally abused them, or who has continued to

abuse them. The Liberal soaked in their own self-aggrandizement and moral superiority like internal organs soaked in blood that’s gone septic, from end-stage

infection, comes upon this child and after telling them what happened, they tell the child that they should have tried to reason with their abuser. They

would tell them that the abuser is a person too, and like that child at one time the abuser was a helpless baby and needed parents too. They would go on

to tell them that in doing what they did, then they’re no different than the person who abused them.

These Liberals in the end are Utopians. They believe that if we don’t show anger at the oppressive system, speak nicely to those oppressing us and never

fight back with violence even if it is the only thing that could save our lives then we all can progress to their sun-lit utopia. These Liberals who would

put kind words above truly fighting oppressors, killers and abusers are morally bankrupt people addicted to their own self-exultation and self-aggrandizement. (1/2)
