Recommendations for contemporary #kidlitart and #artists on here that veer more towards classic picture book #illustration and less of the “big head/big eyes” variety?

When it seems like I’ll have to devote all my #Time to just doing work that will pay the #bills - waiting tables, #bartending sometimes serving people who make more in a year than I will prob see in my lifetime - I think of Charles Ives then polish another glass.

I’ve got the #synopsis and main characters for a cool #Comic / #graphicnovel all finished. A pastiche of many favorite elements in something wild and exciting. Now I need to write the first #script and most importantly decide whether I really want to plunge into a possibly endless and thankless #Project. But I think of it as a #movie and its #images as #Film stills, and it’s a “film” I really would like to see:)

Sunday morning breakfast #reading before heading off to work. One of my fave #films so I can’t wait to dive into this #script.
