Delaware's elite business court just set another legal precedent ... about a Goldendoodle named Tucker. As a bonus the opinion also quotes a Kipling poem. Photo of Tucker included!

Delaware Chancery Court Orders Auction in Goldendoodle Fight

An estranged couple’s dispute over their goldendoodle presented a new challenge for Delaware’s elite business court: How should an equity court fairly split ownership of a pet?

There's a horse named Journalism running in today's Kentucky Derby. I, a journalist, wrote about a horse. Reading my story therefore is like going to the Kentucky Derby.

Musk and a Dead Horse: Two Cases Show Delaware Court’s Range

The billionaire litigants get all the attention, but the Chancery Court is also Delaware’s venue for guardianships, estates and wills, easement disputes—and a dispute about a euthanized Clydesdale.

Bloomberg Law podcast host June Grasso really likes Clydesdales, too - I spoke with her about how the Delaware Chancery courts handle not only cases involving billionaires like Elon Musk and Fortune 500 companies, but also the case of a construction worker trying to get the remains of his beloved horse returned to him.

The same people who for decades built Bloomberg INDG into the success it is are now, in retirement and needing health benefits to recover from cancer and strokes, being told the company wants to slash those benefits to save money. The Guild at Bloomberg INDG is fighting to keep those retiree benefits!

An update on our negotiations over a new contract with Bloomberg INDG: We have been working hard over the past several weeks to negotiate a fair contract with Bloomberg INDG. But this week marked a very disappointing turn. 🧵
Today's statement from the Guild at Bloomberg Industry Group on INDG management’s refusal to abandon their proposal to remove just cause protections for editorial employees. The Guild is bargaining with INDG over a new 3-year contract: https://x.com/GuildatBIG/status/1884322116629364916

The Guild at Bloomberg Industry Group went back to the bargaining table last week with INDG management over a new three-year contract.
Here’s what the company is proposing:
-Limiting just cause protection for editorial employees
-Eliminating merit pay increases for 20% of employees
-Cutting retiree benefits

To say this proposal is tone deaf to the hard work of our members over the past three years would be an understatement.
