This brilliance 👌 from Jon Stewart.
@aarnegranlund I always carry a couple of sticks, but if you are confident you can find some dry wood there is no need to carry any fuel with the BioLite. It also charges your smartphone while you cook.
@aarnegranlund I could use one of those. Currently using hurricane matches and they can be hit or miss. Speaking of gadgets, have you ever used a BioLite stove? Boils a quart of water with just a couple pieces of kindling.
@Anthro wow, huge and old for that species.
@aarnegranlund that early? We don’t usually get stones until late April.
@MelodyWainscott @Anthro @kerryburnetty I like to think of Geography as the “space” equivalent to History’s “time”. You can study economic history, military history, etc. How and why things change over “space” vs how and why things changed over “time”.
@Anthro @kerryburnetty @MelodyWainscott whoa, whoa, whoa! #Geography is much more than “naming stuff”. It is the study of anything that changes over space. You can have physical geography: biogeography, geomorphology, etc. Why does the west side of the Cascades have a forest like the first photo, but the east side looks like the second? Cultural geography studies human differences in different places. Saying it is just “naming stuff” is the 5th grade level of geography.
@kbeninato birb watcher.
@Popehat as a fellow 1969 baby, I really made myself feel old when I counted how many decades I have been alive in.
@aarnegranlund that is what they named him at the shelter, but I told my wife we needed to keep it. Now I just need to find another one named Sage! 🤣
