I instinctively try to fill the gaps with Mastodon or Discord or Reddit, but eventually you run out. Those spaces don't have a seemingly endless scroll of posts you've never seen before. Eventually you run out of stuff to check for the day.
I think I might try to fill in those gaps with a book or something.
So since Musk happened I logged out of Twitter on all my devices and never looked back.
It's been an incredibly jarring and eye-opening experience. Twitter was a bad habit that took up so much of my time, and I didn't realize it. There are now huge hour-long gaps in my day where I just don't know what to do. I'm bored.
I wonder if the reason most of my friends (and myself) are like "Let's go and kill god" is because like so many marginalized people we had to have resolves made fucking tungsten just to survive this long.
And then once we survived and got out we had these wills forged in the fires of hell that we didn't really need anymore.
So we're all just like "Guess I'll kill God".

In light of Musk buying Twitter I figured I'd dust off this account.
It's been a while. I've since learned more, grown more, and matured more.
Gonna be curating my home feed and unfollowing people who just talk about politics because I really don't have the time or mental space to handle that anymore.
Your Izzy has been updated to version 2.0.0.
This version is a complete revamp, bringing many new features, improvements, and bugfixes.
