I am heartbroken and angry over the hateful attack on Club Q in Colorado Springs.
I cannot accept that this is who we are as a nation.
Let’s acknowledge that these hate crimes are fueled by rhetoric from fear-mongering politicians. Every politician whose words and actions stoke fear and distrust of the LGBTQ community bear some responsibility for these murders. Divisive words and actions have real consequences, and all voters who cast their votes for these people are complicit.
