I have the best cat in the world. In life, I've had a total of 6 cats. All have been best cats in the world.

Definitely a fan of Gruyère cheese.
You can never have enough elephants.
I'll close the door behind us, a tiny tap.
It's where museums tuck away the weird.

Bright sunshine and it's about 50F, no wind, so it almost feels pleasant outside.

2 years ago at this time, I was working on finishing the clean up of the apartment and preparing to catch a flight on the weekend to take Ginza and me to our new home. Lots of stress. I especially worried about something going wrong with Ginza, as she was still very new to indoor life and I have a habit of fearing the worst.

But we got through it and we got to where we live now.

I've hissed twice at the weather this morning. Once for it being cold, the other for how fog developed after early on you could see the clear skies and the early bit of sunrise.

Ginza is sitting in the milky sunpatch produced by the sun that's trying to burn off the cruel fog.

She's resting after doing battle with the lemurs again today.

It clouded over and rained this afternoon. A chilly wind as well. I've hissed at the weather a couple of times. Frustrated. Tired of this damp chill.

Ginza was a mischievous imp this morning. She did battle with her army of catnip lemur toys and then moved onto trying to steal my favorite pair of earrings that were on the computer desk.

So far I haven't hissed at the weather today. It's chilly but we've got unexpected sunshine shining. If rain does arrive this afternoon, I'll hiss at it.

Have you ever hissed like a cat at the weather or is that just me who does that?

We're back to rain today.

Ginza has moved out of her lair on the cat tree and back onto the bed and her heating pad. She's now in her napping mode where she half-rolls onto her back and shows her belly while snoozing. She looks quite comfy while doing that.

We got sunshine this morning. Ginza enjoyed a luxurious sun bath on the bed. I was glad to see it myself. It got sunny yesterday afternoon too.

This winter was a much wetter one than my first on in the PNW. Been a real struggle at times for me and honestly I'm desperately in need of a long stretch of sunny days and temps climbing into the 70s. But that'll be a while yet.

One thing that takes place a few times every day is Ginza doing the rolldorables. Rolldorables are when she gets on the floor near where I'm sitting and she begins rolling around on her back and often waving her front paws at me. She looks adorable doing it, so I combined that with roll and call it her doing a rolldorable.

I think it's her way of communicating love and friendship toward me.

and not on edge about the weather or politics or whatnot.

Just comfy and secure. Warm. Happy. Reassured.

I try to do that for Ginza as best I can.

Didn't sleep too well last night. Think I'm getting sick. Ticklish throat and a drippy nose. I'm grumpy about that.

Still dark and mostly wet around here, but not too wet as the river level forecasts have continued to decline a little. I'm 99.99% certain there'll be no evacuation order for where I live.

Ginza is happily snoozing in her lair.

I looked at her yesterday when she was sprawled on her back sleeping on the bed. She looked comfy and happy and I wished that for myself...to be comfy
