ok well, I've started finding stuff. It might be 2y old but its bad... that's disappointing. @frameworkcomputer I don't think its a great look to back a project led by someone whos behavior wouldn't be allowed on your own forums... I'm remotely open to the idea that Vaxrey could have changed his behavior but I still cannot find even the smallest shred of an apology for the behavior at issue and thats problematic

and if Lunduke is calling it "non-political" that's a red flag visible from orbit

Can someone give me the rundown of the current Framework drama? assume I'm just running KDE (I am) and I still own a 2007 Lenovo Thinkpad T60 (I do) and the most I understand about all of this is that Lunduke likes it which I understand is bad. I know what Hyprland is but nothing about its creator, I am similarly oblivious to anything about the Ruby on Rails guy.

Also just assume I want ALL of the context, full verbosity please.

Hell, DM it to me if you feel its not good to post it in public.

Good news! Your action worked!  πŸŽ‰

Germany will be OPPOSING the Chat Control proposition! This (for now) secures a blocking minority to stop this horrifying proposal for mass surveillance.

But keep the pressure on! ✊πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί

The final vote will be on October 14th and many things could change until then. Keep contacting your representatives to tell them to oppose (or keep opposing) Chat Control, as soon as you can.

The blocking vote should be as large as possible to ensure this Orwellian nightmare never becomes reality.

Let's change this blocking minority into a blocking majority! We can do it!  πŸ’š

You remember when everyone (including AI firms) claimed that "Hallucinations" would soon be solved and I got so much shit for arguing that they are a structural property of LLMs?

Now OpenAI releases a paper stating the same and just gets to move on (with all its sycophants).

Really fucking annoys me.

@tailscale love the new visual policy editor. If I might make one feature request: I would love to be able to pause a grant or rule to allow testing configurations without say deleting the default rule completely. Currently the editor only allows for edit or delete.
A few years of work and tens of thousands of GitHub issues later, and the COSMIC and Pop!_OS betas are almost here! Save the date: Thursday, September 25th.
Is proof of work malware? And why is the FSF wrong and a massive joke.
No, it's not malware

@protonprivacy I like that you have an onion service for people using Tor with proton, could I request that you update the webserver to support the onion-location header to allow the Tor Browser to notify users that you have an onion service instead of just relying on new users to find a web page from years ago? https://community.torproject.org/onion-services/advanced/onion-location/

and if the skiddie happens to find this: good fucking luck on that password there bud. You would have more luck using RockYou as an exclude list instead of a dictionary
So this was a fun thing to find out about this morning. I only even learned of what seems to be a brute force attempt on my account when the skiddie, probably out of frustration, used the passwordless auth option and it sent an authentication ping to my phone... Seriously Microsoft? This kind of brute force didn't warrant at least one email or text message? The successful logins are mine from setting up my new phone. #tech #microsoft
