I’m hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner tomorrow and I am doing some food prep right now. Why the hell haven’t I made custard before?! That stuff is addictive. So good.

Going back to “normal” after a depressive episode thanks to gender dysphoria, brings quite some challenges with it. Apart from focusing on mental healing, there’s also the physical aftermath. Not only body, mind and soul needs some TLC, my surroundings do too.
Not only do, I need to eat healthier, get my body into someone lined exercise and get ready to sleep . I also need to clean my apartment. Because depression means to be unable to do the easiest tasks.

Schon geil. Heute in der Therme gewesen in meinen neuen Schwimmklamotten. Nix mehr blöder Badeanzug, sondern Shorts und Tanktop. Und mich sowas von pudelwohl gefühlt. Ich liebe Wasser und das hat mir gefehlt während Pandemie und Dysphorie. Und heute war es einfach nur gut. Die enthusiastischen Neffen waren da auch hilfreich.

Mental health is challenging. When talking to the financial advisor about my retirement Fonds and what to do about it, my brain came up with the unwanted solution: “if we run out of money, we just end it.” Depressions are a tough enemy. You always have to look out for yourself and be kind. And no, brain, we’re not going to do that.

Generally speaking I love helping others and being on a congress for a selfhelp group is great. But does it have to clash with #Straykids fanmeeting? Gotta wait for the replay…
