I'm a software developer and tech enthusiast. I like to build my own computers and help others build theirs.
@thurrott Realistic? Pessimistic? Defeatist? This was a fascinating interview, and many content creators in response seem to be interpreting it as Phil saying, "we can't compete, so we aren't even going to try." What do you think, Paul? Is he wrong? Could cranking out amazing game after amazing game shift the console market? Or is he right that the market is too mature to see a shift?
@thurrott Have you seen this trailer for the Halo/Sea of Thieves tie in? Any thoughts on these cosmetics? https://youtu.be/j1TARdC3xvc

@BrianHelman It IS fascinating how each site has different rules of what they accept in terms of length, character set, and so on.
@blogoklahoma In 2019, my router was hacked. I wrote my own password manager, Vaultanium, after surveying the horrid state of "trust" options at the time. It's not as "easy" to use as others, but sooo much more secure.
What’s in a PR statement: LastPass breach explained

The LastPass statement on their latest breach is full of omissions, half-truths and outright lies. I’m providing the necessary context for some of their claims.

Almost Secure

@larsrosenquist Right on, you totally hit the nail on the head.

In 2019, my home router was hacked. I'm a developer (mostly Windows & web) and was lax with my security and router patches at the time. That was the wake-up call I needed. I bought a brand-new router, fashioned my new hat out of tinfoil, and starting researching.

I realized the sad state of affairs in the "Trust" department. I looked around and could not believe what I saw. I wrote my own password manager and couldn't be happier.

@Lisa The survey wasn't painful at all and I'm happy to help support TWiT this way. Keep up the excellent work!
@SGgrc Roger. We hear you loud and clear. So glad you made it to Mastodon. Yes!
@jann I'm pretty new here (and I abandoned Twitter long ago), but I suspect it will take some time to transition, for many. I am not a fan of the cross posting either, but I'm hopeful that it will settle down in time.
@jasonhowell Looks like, so far, you've slipped under the radar. Kudos!
