Ich finde es schwierig das du es hier so darstellst, als ob hier essentielle Güter gekauft werden. So funktionieren die Plattformen doch in großen Teilen einfach nicht.

Geworben wird mit “Luxus zum kleinen Preis”. Die Produkte sind größtenteils Gimmick-Kram, der so tut als wäre er nützlich. Die Sachen, die nützlich sind bspw. Klamotten, sehen hochwertig aus, sind aber nicht wirklich günstiger, als das was man auch im Discounter bekommen könnte. Die Kaufexperience lässt die Grenzen zwischen Rabattaktion und Casino verschwimmen. Überall blinkt es, überall wird dafür geworben doch noch den nächsten super tollen Artikel in den Warenkorb zu schieben. Der Kaufprozess ist ein buntes Erlebnis und keine schnöde wohlüberlegte Bedarfsdeckung.

Die Plattformen spielen mit dem Wunsch sich Luxus leisten zu können und mit schlechter finanzieller Disziplin.

Am Ende ist es aber eher eine realitätsflucht, fast schon drogenähnlich. Das solche schädlichen Verhaltensmuster verstärkt werden durch Armut, macht sie nicht besser oder notwendig.

By the Definition of “failed” in that list, everything fails all the time.

Every country on earth -> failure every few years to month Every local district goverment -> failed Every NGO -> failure Every project with a possible point of failure, including brushing your teeth or putting on socks -> you guessed it, failure

Declaring everything a failure, that doesn’t immediately reach its stated goals & sometimes experience low points, is a very depressing outlook on life.

The modern EU is 33 Years old. If you include precursor organisations it is over 70 Years old. It at least paused imperialistic actions between nations, that have been at it for multiple millennia.

Stating “EU will never work”, while it is working for longer than many of its constituents are alive, is honestly just wrong.

He didn’t just return to society though. He returned to a place with more prestige, than most people of the same society will ever experience in their lives.

While I agree with the sentiment, that criminals need a way back into society, that doesn’t mean they should have a right to return to their old lives. Especially if those lives includes representing there nation at international events.

He should have to deal with the consequences of his actions and that should include that certain actions exclude you from certain positions in a society, no matter if you served jail time or not.

Also, that nothing is encrypted but I guess encryption can be broken.

Our way of encrypting things is incredibly basic. We are basically just asking like a toddler: What number am I thinking of? If you guess correctly, congratulation you broke the encryption.

A civilisation just a few decades ahead of us will have no problem breaking even the most modern encryptions. Any advanced Alien race, will look at our way of encryption, like we look at the Caesar-Chiffre or the Enigma-Machine today. Clever for it’s time, but no real hurdle for a modern code breaker.
