I have been blind since the age of four. Graduated high school in 1993 from Perkins school for the blind. Graduated from Keene State College in 2000. Started working for Walmart 2002. And got married to my best friend in 2015. I love the iPhone and anything to do with the iPhone. Love to read. And technology.
I’m just getting a chance to watch the gold match of the sled hockey game that was on this morning. I feel with audio description being the radio broadcast. And the TV broadcast together. I feel like I’m understanding 98% of what is going on. #Olympics.

Twenty Thousand Hertz - Harry Potter and the Sound Designer’s Stone: https://www.20k.org/episodes/harry-potter

Harry Potter has been brought to life on page and screen. But what would it take to make the wizarding world come alive using sound alone? In this episode, we go behind the scenes of the new full-cast editions of the Harry Potter series, where a team of sound designers spent eighteen months crafting 130 hours of immersive audio. From the whistle of the Hogwarts Express to the rasp of the Dementors, every spell, creature, and location had to sound tangible and emotionally distinct. Featuring Will Cohen and Lawrence Kendrick of String and Tins . Twenty Thousand Hertz is produced by Defacto Sound. Support the show and get ad-free episodes at 20k.org/plus. If you're a current manual wheelchair user, is this as big of a game-changer as it seems?

I am watching Bridge over the river Kwai. I’ve never seen elk Guinness in anything but Star Wars movies. I keep expecting him to pull out his light, saber and attack the Japanese. Or use a Jedi mind trick on them.
I am sitting here enjoying my vacation. I’ve had Nature Sounds streaming and all four echo dots for many hours now. I’ve also been in the podcast. I’m almost done. At about 6 PM Eastern time or so I’m going to catch a quick update on the weather on the local news. And then watch at least one classic movie if not, two. I am aiming to watch the Maltese falcon. And if I’m still awake, maybe start bridge over the river Kwai

I’m hoping that someone out there can help us. My friend has an iPhone 16 Pro and her ringing ringers and texts aren’t coming through but she doesn’t know when she gets calls or messages. Mute is off do not disturb is off. He has sound set for both. What are we missing?
