Love art, nature, environment, science, travel, thrift, therapy, volunteering, all the food except olives and celery, and good people like you. Favourite human is my baby neice. Sparkles is my cat.
One of my favourite things was visits to the grocery store. Look at those cone shaped cabbage! Mom used that as part of her trini in salted cod dish she made the next night.
Next stop and last leg of vacation was south Portugal, Albufeira. I met up with my parents who are vacationing there. Cod kebab and piri piri shrimp. Dad and I shared the kebab.
Time for Greek! Chicken souvlaki. The avocado pit was filled with olive oil and ground up fresh herbs. The plate was clean when I finished. Chef’s kiss!
This is called Francesinha: layered meat with cheese, egg on top and gravy. I ordered a variation with shaved pork from the bifana sandwich instead of steak. A dish that one must try in Porto. Holy heavy.
