I’m actually pleasantly surprised by iOS26 … overall, I like it better. I love that it fixes the photos app (mostly at least). Things that are different, I’ve rapidly got used to. I know people (on other social media where there is far more interaction than here) are hating on the design language and feel it’s a regressive step - what are your thoughts ?
Wrist flick function sounds good. Notes integration a positive. I’m not into the other stuff, but I’m sure things like the workout buddy will be welcomed for some.
This is a shockingly good announcement. Finally going to replace my very aged iPad because of this. Anything you didn’t like/thought was missed ?
I don’t hate it. It’s just not a priority that I was interested in. For instance maybe revert the Photos app to its old goodness, rather than its new crapness. Maybe even expand usage cases for the dynamic island, since they’ve had so much time to do so and seem to have lost interest.
That’s cool and all, but where is the ethical action to remedy for consumers who have bought based on false promises predicated on hope rather than reality. That a class action lawsuit would not overly damage the company, that the payout would be meagre on an individual basis, that consumers are apathetic and full of ‘just another example of how life is’ inaction, are why they can release some angsty words and still sleep at night surrounded by their money and market control.
Glad I’m not the only one with an intense dislike of Photos. I can’t see any upside.
How do you save photos etc ?
I’ve stopped playing it. I found it depressing.
Good to see Mythology getting some much needed love. So much untapped potential in that game.
As long as Samsung keep providing inferior hardware to the non US/Canada world, it will remain a no from me - “specs sheet suggested the two non-Ultra flagships will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 only in the US and Canada, all the other markets are getting the Exynos 2400 treatment.”
