And in other places the new textures are "better" but they have seams so visible it makes things look even less natural than the original.
I talked about the positives of the Tomb Raider remaster trilogy in the past, but it's definitely not without faults. Some of the new texture work is inexcusably poor.
Much like the discussion of "VR"games, what was once considered a 3D game was wildly different than what we consider it now. Don't believe me? King's Quest II was considered 3D in it's time. Yes, really.
