Hi everyone! New to the Fediverse and learning as I go. Damn glad to be here. Somewhat nerdy introvert. Interests are #socialjustice, #womensrights, #savingtheearth, #nature, #animals, especially #cats, #horror, #yoga and #spirituality, etc.

Profile picture is a T-Rex with it’s mouth open looking like it’s about to eat a man in biking clothes who is kicking at it, and a woman in biking clothes holding both of her hands up to shield herself and looking surprised.

I bet my fiancée that this picture of our cats could get 10 billion boosts on Mastodon.

She said she doesn't believe me. She said there's only 13 million accounts on Mastodon. She said there aren't even 10 billion people on Earth. She said it concerns her that I struggle so hard to comprehend large numbers.

Let's prove her wrong everyone. Boost away and show her just how awesome the Mastodon community is.

This is my custom foiled drawing of Altair the adorable bengal kitty!

Can someone explain why Medicaid activists in wheelchairs are being zip-tied and arrested at the Capitol?

They’re peacefully pleading to keep their benefits — and this is the response?

Is this who we are as a country?

I want to thank you @ikonha - you had mentioned a few days ago that you upped your meds dosage. I had COMPLETELY forgotten my doctor said to do the same thing. After reading your post, I did the same and HOLY CRAP - it was like somebody ripped the black hood off my head. Complete and total rebound.

Dude. Seriously, thank you.

"A group of protesters, some in wheelchairs, were arrested and zip-tied on Capitol Hill and dragged out by police officers as they demonstrated against proposed cuts to Medicaid in Republicans' massive spending package."

I have watched my life burn to the ground and started again from scratch many, many times.

I believe in second acts and second chances.

I want to say this clearly for anyone who needs to hear it: it is possible to survive radical, unexpected and unwanted life changes, to start again, and to build a new life that is worth living.

Guess what! The prototype of the new #Plushtodon series has arrived. It will be available later this year in this and one other color!

Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill would kill over 830,000 jobs, increase pollution, and raise energy costs alone by as much as $400 a household.

Fox News spews out misinformation all day, more “liberal” TV news doesn’t really cover this subject at all, and too many people get distracted by stuff that’s not going to impact them in any way whatsoever.

@VeroniqueB99 yeah I am baffled that it's been allowed to go on for this long. WTF is wrong with people? They really are stupid.
@felis_catus_domesticus Idk... between the 3 job crowd that's exhausted 24/7 and the crowd convinced that 'things are gonna get better' no one noticed the middle class was disappearing...🤷‍♀️
@VeroniqueB99 the gilded age of US history saw a huge influx of southern and eastern Europeans who were poor, uneducated, accustomed to hard lives and exploitation back in the countries and societies they came from, and were willing to work hard and do anything for any (of course exploitatively low) pay. And a few well positioned native sons were able to exploit them to make fortunes for themselves. Carnegie? Bezos. Southern Italian, Russian Jew? Latin Americans.. the labels have changed but the playbook is the same.
