Both pics are mine; that's me backpacking in the Valhalla range, BC. Other one is the Reef Icefield, near Mount Robson, BC. I live in very rural BC, largely off-grid.

No worries, mate, I'm always supportive of anyone who's been fired after they've been fired. I'm surprised you haven't been fired again yet, they say 3 times is a charm!

It was also a relatively late maximum. This is bad, but for a little while there it was looking absolutely horrendous!
I hope weather co-operates. Fortunately there's no real correlation between low maximums leading to low minimums. I hope that doesn't change!
Things I'm watching closest: pack cohesion/concentration, and melt pond onset.
Definitely a bit late for ice gains, but then again it appears to be dispersion more than anything. Area has been dropping still, so concentration is very low right now...
Volume isn't looking good, either. Keeping in mind it's modelled, I have a feeling it's even over-estimating right now. Models don't fare well when we venture into uncharted waters...
