Would an Android phone make an acceptable 5G modem?

Just playing around with the idea that I'd use an old phone as a 5g modem that I'd then attach to a regular router. Is this possible, smart/dumb?

Like seriously wtf Microsoft? Google search has been terrible lately so I made the switch to Bing but it freaking boggels my mind that they haven't made a dedicated just-search app without the bloat that I can redirect to Firefox (like I've done with Google)....
