If your reaction to Supreme Court decisions is strictly from the perspective of the net effect of them, vs. whether or not they interpret what current law says, you either don’t understand or refuse to accept what the Supreme Court is supposed to do.
Thr extent to which the expectation that the Court is explicitly a tool to achieve *or maintain* policy outcomes has been corrosive to American democracy is highly underrated.

@dmitri To the extent that the IC even wants that sort of recognition. I would imagine that at best they don’t care, or, more likely, they’re content to have any US involvement in anything about this war be no one’s first thought.
@benjaminwittes I’ve read the rationale on this from @Gargron, though I’m not quite getting it. Seems like quotes and replies are different use cases and not really substitutes for one another? And I don’t understand the connection between the former and bullying? But that’s likely because I was never on Twitter.
