@travismcelroy I finished Graduation and it inspired me so much I restarted work on a game I’m developing and pitching!

I understand what it’s like to get negative feedback from angry gamers… but your collective story touched me in a way that is hard to express in words.

After 24 hours on Mastodon, I'm already enjoying it far more than I've ever enjoyed the bird site.

I feel like I've stumbled into a conversation with a big established friend circle who's cool with me showing up and hanging around, and even though I don't understand 90% of what any of them are saying, everyone seems like they're having a good time and I'm enjoying piping in occasionally.

It's a nice atmosphere that I haven't experienced since I was a teenager. Y'all are cool folks.

covid fked my other game like this, and it will likely rot on my hard drive as a mess of beautiful shaders, awesome mechanics, and a lack of real game design or emotional goal
