Heard the rumble of a radial engine and looked up, thinking it's probably that Nanchang CJ-6 that flies out of Wellington Aero Club. But it looked a little chonky. Flightradar told me that it was a Grumman Avenger. First time I've seen one in flight. If I'd known earlier that it was going to be flying by, I could've got myself to the lookout at the top of the Wainui Hill Road (see in the bottom right of the photo where the road crests the hill and there's some kind of structure there - right there), whence I could've got a much better view.
