For the week of 2/24 – 3/2 we’ve got some notable events to cover. Jerry busts out Rosebud for the first time, his brand-new MIDI-enabled guitar. We also get the first performances of some classic songs: Terrapin Station and Estimated Prophet, and the final performance of Mason’s Children. 1970 Show List

By request, I'm continuing my series of Grateful Dead show lists into 1970:  http://deadessays.blogspot.com/2018/05/1966-show-list.html http...

We have taken a crack at cataloging common "Spurious Dates". These dates turned out to just be mislabeled tapes or other errors.

Full disclosure, this is primarily created so I do not have to keep asking @FateMusic "hey, should we add this show!?"

Not meant to be completely exhaustive, but I like to have all the common ones on here.

Additions and corrections welcome.

Chesley Millikin isn't a big name for Grateful Dead fans, but he he should be. Millikin (1934-2001) was the link for some of the most important moments in Dead history. I sketch out his only-in-the-60s story.

Millikin was pals with Rock Scully and Sam Cutler. He was the key to Altamont, hiring Hal Kant, running Out Of Town tours and numerous other adventures.

Welcome to the new weekly newsletter that brings you the most important facts and figures from Grateful Dead History for the week ahead! I'm going to

Don’t think of me poorly, but… I wish Steely Dan would reinvent themselves as a jam band lol. Just listening to Kid Charlemagne (one of my fav songs by them) and that solo towards the end has such a Trey Anastasio feel to it. So now I’m trying to imagine them that way lol

Our "Kick out the Jams" campaign continues over at #jerrybase Today I converted Dark Star.

So everything that used to be called "Dark Star Jam" is now just "Dark Star", but with a footnote. You can also search for these if you'd like, or exclude them from a search.

If you are horrified, we love you  #gratefuldead
