Dat was een fijn gesprek met Heleen DeBruyne in De Jaren, over schoonheid, humor, Lolita, een moppentappende computer, Nederlands-Indie, ras en nog veel meer. Een grote eer om aan te mogen schuiven in deze mooie serie gesprekken van de VRT.

De politieke macht van de lach wordt vaak onderschat. ‘Maar humor kan ook een krachtig wapen zijn tégen radicaal-rechts.’
A question:
does anyone have a recommendation for AI-based translation that is 1. ethical, that is: doesn't share, save, re-use the input, 2. covers a reasonable amount of languages (including Chinese, Arabic). 3. offers good quality.
So: definitely not google translate, DeepL pro is promising, but doesn't have that many languages.. Any suggestions welcome!

Vandaag een gesprek gehad waarin bleek dat er mensen zijn die nu al rekening houden met het feit dat onderwijsmateriaal wel 'politiek neutraal' zal moeten zijn. Ook als het duidelijk is dat die neutraliteit betekent: zeggen wat rechts voor 'normaal' houdt, al is dat tegen alle wetenschappelijke feiten in.
In Nederland past de zwijgende meerderheid zich snel en graag aan veranderende werkelijkheid aan.

At the same time, presences should be established on #Mastodon and other services in the #Fediverse, whose decentralised and moderated design is much more compatible with the rules of democratic and sustainable coexistence.
