Things change, and I think we are in the point of no return, although unsure how far full recognition is:

Few years ago, I wouldn't see a major Greek broadsheet printing out #Kosovo's name, PM, flag and territory.

Also has deep dive in
Polisario/Sahrawi diplomacy. Big confirmation of idea of targeted advocacy diplomacy, and builds on theory/qualitative work of Huang, @GezimVisoka, @GeorgeKyris
and other selfdet/de facto state/rebel diplo scholars.

Excited for #ISA2023, as always lots of great panels and not enough time.

We have organised a panel on state and recognition with some excellent contributions.

If you are around and you would like to meet, please DM me, it will be great to catch up with many colleagues.

At the same time, we must say that big issues with ISA accessibility and inclusivity remain, as explained by many colleagues recently- e.g. difficulties with visas for many.

On the occasion of the one year anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of #Ukraine, our Statehood, Sovereignty & Conflict @ECPR_PolCom Network has put together a reading list that we hope will contribute to a better understanding of these topics, and be a useful research and teaching resource.

Please read, share and contribute.

Blast from the research past.

My audio recorder from my research trips during my PhD, nearly 15 years ago.

(Still working).

@dhnexon @smaideman @VjosaMusliu first, congratulations if this a review you received! I think it is important qualification that this is a second round of revisions. If something like that appears on the first round I agree that it might be tricky for the reasons mentioned above, but also because the editors might think reviewer knows the work and are positively biased to accept it.
