Dinner tonight was a massive pot of summer risotto made with Samin Nosrat’s corn cob broth, a variety of veggies and local sausage, a bit of white wine and a touch of lemon…marjoram and thyme. Thank all the gods for AC.

Somehow, I made chocolate chip cookies while also dealing with puppies, answering emails, and getting my second shingles vaccine.
They’re perfect. And the puppies are wonderful too. 😜
It’s so weird having a friend who you know is a real friend and you can’t help but be aware that they are so much cooler than you are…and they think you’re so much more together than they are.
