It's not for fun, or any sense of community.
It's just trying to dull the pain.

If that cat wore one piece of clothing, it'd be a kodpiece.

Same, I've had it on my wishlist for years.
@catsalad
I wonder if kitty has eye floaters or cataracts. Still playing though!
@kajer
Employee benefit surcharge? Fuckers.

There's unraid, but apparently it's linux but closed source if that's a concern. Price isn't unreasonable, $250 for perpetual updates and no limitations.
Are there any good RAID(-like) platforms where drive size doesn't matter and you can just throw random drives at it?

So here's something I have not experienced before...

@Tarah and I received a shipment from some sort of processing center where the labels on the box had clearly been taped over and covered up and a message on the box stated "unable to deliver, returned to sender" except... We are not the original sender, not by a long shot.

At first glance, this looks to very likely be some sort of collection of Amazon returns. Aquarium parts, shock absorbers for some bike or other, and a couple technology items.

Anyone ever experience something like this? Original labels have been stuck over so many times that they are completely illegible.

Ultimate theory: this is actually China or our own fascist government trying to hax0r us... No, I will not be taken in by your unexpected free webcam or other items delivered to my box! Better luck next time, Mossad.

(Honestly, however, if anyone out there wants any of this stuff, say the word? If it's useful to you, I'll send it.)

3109: Dehumidifier - explain xkcd

explain xkcd is a wiki dedicated to explaining the webcomic xkcd. Go figure.

Since I have a dehumidifier in a room I don't go in much, this would genuinely be useful if it would notify me when the thing is full
