There was no one here. I wonder if a bear had turned up?
Lake Shikotsu. It is close to Sapporo, surrounded by many accessible mountains, and boasts crystal-clear waters. It was teeming with hikers and tourists.
I tried taking some photos of the starry sky from the shores of Lake Kussharo. It was a new moon that night, so the stars looked absolutely stunning.
I think I need to get a bit more practised if I’m going to take proper photos of the night sky.
The next day, whilst driving along, I spotted a pair of cranes. They were flying from the lawn onto the farmland and causing a bit of a mess, so I began to worry that they might soon be quietly culled.
I went to the eastern part of Hokkaido at the weekend. The moss phlox were beautiful in Higashimokoto Park.

I went to Tokyo on business. I didn't have any free time, so I only took one photo. This is a location featured in the manga and anime series “March Comes in Like a Lion.”

Seeing Mt Fuji just gets me so excited.
