Donald McPherson kept the Lac La Pluie post journal for the year 1817‐1818. He was an experienced trader who had spent several years operating along the north shore of Lake Superior.
The goal of this account is to provide a "real time" account of the journal that Donald McPherson kept from Sept 25, 1817 to May 29, 1818.
Starting on Sept 25, 2024 until May 29, 2025, follow along with the day to day events that take place at Lake La Pluie (later named Fort Frances).
