Quirks with "Open in browser" - Lemmy.world
I love the app, first and foremost. It’s hands-down the best way to view Lemmy
posts, and it feels amazing to scroll and interact with. When I click a link
that opens in a browser, though, it opens without any frame around it and can’t
open into any third party apps. I know it may not impact everyone, but for me
this is pretty difficult to get around. Some use cases: - I clicked the link to
view Liftoff! in the Play Store, and I couldn’t click to actually download the
app. Sure, I already have this installed, but it could happen for other apps. -
I was reading an article that I wanted to share externally, but the menu for my
browser wasn’t available to share that content. - I clicked a YouTube video and
wanted to watch it in the official app instead of the browser. There was no way
to open the link in another app. Again, loving the app but this would make it so
much cooler!
DMing Curse of Strahd - Lemmy.world
This post is kind of spoiler-y. You’ve been warned. I also can’t figure out
spoiler tags on Jerboa (if you know, please help!). We’ve had a blast running
through the campaign. Starting in Krezk, the first experience our party had took
them to the winery. Sure, that’s normal enough. The Martikovs are a weird bunch,
but we’re helping get wine for the village. Then, the Abbott. Oh god, I’ve had
so much fun with the Abbott ever since. They decided to use Ezmerelda’s plan for
the most part, only they’re taking the bride to Strahd as part of the dinner.
Along the way, they’ve made a number of allies. Rictavio, Urwin, and of course
Ezmerelda. It’s a small army going to Ravenloft. The showdown is going to be
epic, and my players have no idea the danger in store for them at the castle.

TIFU by not securing my headphones - Lemmy.world
Technically this happened yesterday, but I’m still pretty mad at myself. I’ve
been riding my ebike pretty frequently to and from work. It’s a short trip and
basically the same amount of time as a car would take, so it just makes sense.
My bike also has a cupholder, and I’ve been placing my keys in there to avoid
being stabbed by them. Yesterday, I had the brilliant idea of putting my
headphones in there. I was trying to reduce clutter in my pockets and make it
easier to peddle. Well, I hit a few bumps that were a little larger than usual,
and with the traffic and trying to keep my head on a swivel I didn’t notice my
headphones bounce out of the cupholder. I made it all the way home only to
discover my massive error. Rip the $200 to replace those…
