Any of my #FreeBSD contacts know who is responsible for update.freebsd.org? It's now returning 403 errors over HTTP and apparently not listening on HTTPS.

Not sure if this is expected, or something that is down, but figured something somewhere just needed a quick kick to get things working again.

Did anyone write a guide yet how to make self-hosted Ghost instances less dependent on external resources? This includes Stripe payment, the Mailgun requirement, but also external JS dependancies like JSdelivr etc.

Seems that even a fully self-hosted Ghost is still extremely entangled with cloud services that I certainly *don't* want to be entangled with.

That's kind of cheekily self evident but it stuck with us due to its simple rawness. A relationship is a life you build together and those are made of everyday victories and struggles. There's no magic, there's mutua lovel care and work. It's being accomplices in life

I keep hearing the phrase "It's always been you" in film and music and now, comics. And I am obsessed with it! The meaning has morphed in the past 20 years from being a high-romance indicator of finding "the one" into a huge red flag

"It's you. It's always you. It's always been you." now means "I am obsessed with the romantic ideal of you, but not you as a real person."

@Redfuchs And yeah sometimes relationships are difficult and people are going through and trying to make it up to each other.

There’s usually a lot of work to do to, errm, fix the anxiety induced by abrahamic religions. But if you don’t consent to being vulnerable with someone else, that’s probably what you’re supposed to address.

I've made what I feel like is a delightful habit of asking the wife near-daily, "You feel like being married?"

Just a check-in on the regular that we're still OK and we _both_ want to keep doing this thing.

It's the furthest thing from romantic but it's heartfelt, every time.

@Redfuchs I don't know if this is a real quote, but I've seen the phrase "choosing [a person] again and again" or "choosing [a person] daily" in genAI outputs a lot, so either it comes up a lot in the data set (like I suppose "It's always been you" would) and I feel sorry for the original author or this too was AI generated, in which case I also feel sorry for the original authors.
