In cat videos, spicy means that this cat will hiss and maybe even scratch or bite. Usually used for kittens, in which case this won't hurt too much and the kitten is just cute and feisty.

Those weird sticking out edges are what happen when you sew a pillow by sandwiching two squares and sewing around the edges. You need to round off the corners if the pillow is to look nice (and be comfortable). There are several methods for doing this. Look online.
