Affinity v2 on Linux for Deb/buntu Folks v2

If you're feeling a little more technical and have time to fill in some gaps, you can ignore this post and follow the guide here: https://affinity.liz.pet/v2/1-intro/ For the rest of us, here's my notes from following the new method: Set up First of all, get the installer(s) downloaded. Make sure they're the .exe versions. 32-bit Architecture ASIDE: I wrote this part first but I'm not actually certain if it's required. The Works of Feff Silvers
@Feff @phoenixgee Wheeey, I’m glad it’s working for you now!

@Feff @phoenixgee I’m on the current branch of wine-dev which is 10.19, the forum way is the old way. Very recently they figured out how to get it running on vanilla wine, but it still required wine >= 10.18

The new instructions are here: https://affinity.liz.pet/v2/1-intro/

Introduction - Affinity Wine Documentation

A guide to install Affinity on linux

https://affinity.liz.pet/

@Feff @phoenixgee It’s not completely glitch-free but it is far more stable than when I used the forked wine version, e.g. adding a page doesn’t crash Publisher anymore, but I still have to remember not to copy and paste layers to try duplicating things and have to use the proper duplicate option.

FWIW, I am not a heavy user of Affinity, they are more compliments to the things I do, so maybe I’ve not taxed it enough.
