Going by day as Joe Jupille, political science professor at CU Boulder. Bike commuter, lover of the outdoors, book nerd, meditator, music lover, proud father of four glorious humans and pop to little Talia Mae.

By night, blogging at Jerry Garcia's Middle Finger, playing with data at jerrybase.com, all in service of writing Fate Music, which narrates Jerry Garcia's journey to claim and establish his own name as an American musician, beyond the Grateful Dead.

Please help identify this wonderful soul tune! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7TAYus5LRzuYmhHSXR2WElncUU/view?usp=sharing&resourcekey=0-ecl06Y9wzW5gq3rFLSum0w Sarah only remembered it as an improv. Yes, the words are improvised, but this is a composition with a name. Oh, and it's delightful. https://jerrybase.com/events/19730307-01
My day-job office involves the same basic play:
Boulder County branch of the IFJGS
Just tried to get BMFS tix at Red Rocks in May. Payments wouldn't go through got shut out. This whole world of online ticket sales confuses me. Like I signed up for some sort of thing through AXS but by the time I got two tickets I was already in a resale environment.
I am going to be in the area of Chaco Canyon ca. December 20-22. I will be camping at Gallo and vibing on the Chacoans' solstice alignments and whatnot. Anyone reading this a) down there, and/or b) able to connect me with some curanderos in that neck of the woods?
Off to Waco for a couple of days for work. If any locals can point me to some hippie/ alt-country honky tonkin opportunities, please message me!

The quality and quantity of data accruing to Jerrybase just amazes me. This view mmakes me happy.

Thanks to @[email protected] for making @[email protected] go, and for everyone who contributes pictures, stories, data, images, anything at all.

Sweet sassy molassey, check out the Garcia-Kahn 11/23/84 "Bird Song". Whole show at http://www.archive.org/serve/jgb1984-11-23KahnChryslerHallNorfolkVA/jgb1984-11-23KahnChryslerHallNorfolkVA.mp3, very much toward the end.

Please report back. I don't usually do 11/84 JGJK, but now I need to mine for more jewels like this.
