A common argument I come across when talking about ethics in AI is that it's just a tool, and like any tool it can be used for good or for evil. One familiar declaration is this one: "It's really no different from a hammer". I was compelled to make a poster to address these claims. Steal it, share it, print it and use it where you see fit.

#Mozilla a implémenté une fonctionnalité dans #MDN qui est juste… de la merde : un bouton "AI explain" au niveau des exemples de code.
Évidemment, l'IA raconte des conneries et ça risque de poser bien des problèmes vu la notoriété et le sérieux reconnu de cette documentation…

Faire bosser les #IA à la place des humains, c'est de la merde. Ce qui se passe derrière les IA (exploitation humaine et modération critique), c'est de la merde.

I would like to ask that if companies are moving to a Hire&Fire model for organizational health rather than Resource control, that we stop having Engineering interview cycles that are 6-10 hours?

Why bother finding the "right" person when the company only cares about the "right now" person?

If you have doubts about what to use as a key for LaunchedEffect in Jetpack Compose:

1️⃣ Think of it as the input/s for your effect. If it changes, the effect needs to get re-run.
2️⃣ Pick something that is captured within the LaunchedEffect lambda.

I'm happy to share with you that I've just finished my book about Jetpack Compose called : Jetpack Compose - develop accessible and modern UI for Android (in French for the moment). It will be available next spring. It was a exciting and exhausting journey of almost 500h of work. I'm proud I've done it, but also happy to move to something else.
