@jochenwolters @cabel Personally, I like the vast majority of Apple's software.
My comment is informed by the fact that I used to manage visual merchandising and displays like that for that specific store when it was in its old location. It's in my wheelhouse to pay attention to this sort of thing.
Chalk it up to another case of "I have the skills, I might as well try to do a thing I've always wanted to do..." wherein I've modeled up my local Apple Retail Store (Santa Rosa Plaza).
I worked in Visual Merchandising at Apple for six years (during and after college), so this is a big deal for me.
It's difficult for me to fully express just how satisfying it is to be able to post this image.
For almost a decade, I witnessed in awe how the design and marcom teams at Apple came up with the incredible graphics for in-store displays, and today, I finally leveraged what I've learned over the last 20 years to mock-up something of my own.
Smallest bit of satisfaction today...
A few months ago, I decided to purchase a second hand iPod (5th Gen), swap the enclosure, upgrade the battery and storage... and after a failed start in May where the main board seems to have failed, I was able to purchase a second one this week and as of today... it's up and running.
Def gonna try to go without streaming services for a while.
